Wafer's blog thing

A vague account of the happenings in Wafer's life since summer ish 2006. I can't believe that the language I must have this in if I want English is a bloody Americanised corruption of the our tongue.

Better late than never

It's been a while since I posted on this, so I guess it's about time to do so once again.

Where to begin...well I guess in October '06 would feel right. Nothing very interesting happened for a while after the last post (hence I haven't posted). Work & college, work & college mostly. At college we finished our drystone dyke and changed blocks. At work things started to heat up in the run up to the holidays, things started to get more chaotic and therefore more fun.

We had new staffs to show the ropes and make sure they didn't screw up too much.

Christmas came! Montrose had a white Christmas...sadly it wasn't because we had three feet of snow or anything as exciting as that, it was because we had frost covering the ground and the best weather condition ever...freezing fog! White fog as thick as jellied brains, thicker in fact. Christmas was fun, as always, being woken up at 8am by having my sister jump on my head and then doing the good old swapping of presents and such.

On the 27th I travelled down to the capital (Edinburgh) to meet Emmi who had come across to see the New Year in over here.

We braved the East coast winds along the cliffs and drank too much and stuff, good fun =p

On the 30th Douglas (Doggen), Patriq (Boyye), Bella och Camille arrived from Sweden also to spend New Year here.

The visitors all went out in my town on Hogmanay, while I...worked. But that's what I get for having a job in a pub.

The immortal words "Party at Wafer's" were said on the 1st as people decended on my poor defenceless house...well not completely defenceless, I made everyone who came drink gammeldansk, which is like a form of torture. Damn danish.

Eventually I had to say goodbye to Emmi (and the Swedes) once again ='(

Back to work and college.

Nothing very exciting happened until the 5th of February when I had to go into hospital for an operation. I had a hernia (bråck på svenska) and was in to get it patched up. I now have a nice scar which I like to show people...partly just to see the look on their faces when I start unzipping my trousers. It's still sore just now if I walk too much or too fast, but I'm surviving. I might put a picture of my scar up another day, just so you can all see it =)

I think that's more or less it. I'll write another one of these after a while, maybe not until I've been to KISC with Ger in easter.

Peace Out.
